Software development
built to last

Engineer the software your business deserves. We design, build, and scale custom software systems that are secure, maintainable, and built for the long term.

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET

Six things that separate a custom build from a custom headache.

Custom software can go wrong in a lot of ways. Scope creep, silent teams, code nobody else can maintain. Here's how we make sure that doesn't happen.

Architecture that outlasts the project

We build systems designed to run for years, not just pass a demo. Clean code, proper documentation, and an architecture your next team can actually work with.

Direct access to the builders

No project manager relay. The engineers writing your code are the ones in your calls. Questions get answered the same day because the person who knows is in the room.

Integrations that actually work

CRMs, ERPs, payment systems, third-party APIs. We've connected enough systems to know where integrations break and how to build them so they don't.

Security from the first commit

Authentication, encryption, role-based access control. We don't add security to the backlog; it is designed into the infrastructure and database schemas on day one.

Transparent sprint milestones

We compile staging builds every sprint. You see live, clickable progress every two weeks, so there is never a gap between what you expect and what we ship.

Clean handoffs, zero lock-in

We don't build software to make you dependent on us. Clean setups, standardized environments, and modular repositories ensure smooth internal handoffs.

WHAT WE BUILD

Not all custom software is the same project. Here's where we go deep.

Whether you're validating an idea or scaling a product that already works, the way we engage changes. What doesn't change is how we build.

Custom platforms

Full products built from scratch. User-facing platforms, SaaS products, and multi-tenant systems designed around your business logic, not a template's.

HOW WE BUILD

A process built for software that has to work on day one. Not day thirty.

Custom software has more moving parts than an app. More integrations, more stakeholders, more ways things can quietly go wrong. Our process is designed around catching those things early.

Discovery & architecture

Before anyone writes code, we define the system. What it connects to, what it needs to handle, and what happens when something fails. You leave this phase with a blueprint, not a pitch deck.

OUR TECH STACK

Tools we've shipped with. Not tools we've heard of.

Every technology here has been through a production build with real users and real traffic. We don't chase new frameworks. We pick what works, what scales, and what your next team can actually maintain.

INDUSTRIES WE'VE BUILT FOR

We didn't learn these industries from a pitch deck. We learned them by shipping in them.

Custom software only works when the team building it understands the business behind it. The compliance rules, the data flows, the edge cases that never show up in a requirements doc. We know these because we've been through them.

Automotive & Mobility

Fleet management platforms, supply chain tools, and connected vehicle systems that process real-time data without dropping a beat.

Healthcare & Wellness

Patient management systems, clinical workflows, and health data platforms built around HIPAA from the first database decision.

Real Estate

Property listing platforms, CRM systems for brokerages, and tenant management tools that handle thousands of units without the manual workarounds most teams are still stuck with.

Retail & E-commerce

Inventory management, order processing, and omnichannel platforms that keep stock, pricing, and fulfilment in sync across every sales channel in real time.

Travel & Hospitality

Booking engines, property management systems, and operations platforms that stay reliable during the busiest weeks of the year.

Gaming & Entertainment

Game backends, matchmaking systems, and live ops platforms that handle concurrent users without the infrastructure becoming the bottleneck.

WHY TEAMS PICK OCEAN

Custom software is a big commitment. Here's why teams trust us with it.

A bad app wastes money. Bad software can break operations. The stakes are different and we treat them that way. These are the four things our clients say set us apart once the project is actually underway.

Your system won't depend on us forever

We write code that other teams can pick up. Clean architecture, documented decisions, commented logic. If you switch providers or hire in-house next year, nobody's starting from scratch.

No subcontracting. Full stop.

Every engineer on your project is an Ocean team member. Not a freelancer, not a subcontractor, not someone we onboarded last week to fill a gap. You know exactly who's building your system.

We flag problems before they cost you

Scope too wide for the budget? Integration more complex than expected? Architecture decision that'll cause pain later? You hear about it the week we spot it, not when it's too late to change course.

The system stays alive after launch

Most issues surface in the first few weeks of a live system. We stay on through that window with monitoring, quick fixes, and someone available who already knows the codebase inside out.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Straight answers. No "it depends" without context.

We know "it depends" is frustrating. So where it does depend, we'll tell you on what.

What's in scope and what's not?

In scope: custom platforms, internal tools, system integrations, API development, and legacy modernization. Not in scope: template websites, off-the-shelf product configuration, or maintenance on code we didn't write.

How long should we expect the project to take?

A focused tool: two to three months. A multi-module platform: four to eight months. Complex enterprise builds with compliance requirements: longer. We scope honestly and pad for the problems.

Do we own everything you build?

Yes. Code, designs, documentation, infrastructure credentials. All yours from the first commit. We don't do licensing models or hold IP as leverage. When the project ends, you walk away with everything.

We have a legacy system. Can you work with it?

Yes. We can wrap it with modern APIs, migrate the data out of it, or rebuild it entirely while keeping your operations running. The approach depends on how tangled the system is and what your timeline looks like.

What happens when requirements shift?

We expect them to. Two-week sprints mean we can reprioritize between cycles without throwing away work. You'll always know what a scope change means for budget and timeline before we act on it.

Can you give us a rough cost range?
